Manage episode 516124404 series 3611194
Step into the twisted history of Glensheen Mansion, a sprawling estate along the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. Built by wealthy attorney Chester Congdon and his wife Clara in the early 1900s, the mansion witnessed tragedy and terror that still lingers within its walls today.
After Chester’s untimely death in 1916, Clara and their daughter Elisabeth continued to reside in the mansion until their own deaths. But it was Elisabeth’s murder in 1977 at the hands of her daughter Marjorie and son-in-law Rodger that cast a dark shadow over the estate.
As a museum open to the public since 1979, Glensheen Mansion has become a hotspot for paranormal activity. Visitors report encounters with the spirits of Elisabeth and her home nurse Velma, who are said to haunt their former living spaces with an eerie presence. From cold spots to shadow figures, the mansion is alive with the echoes of its tragic past.
Join us as we delve into the chilling history and ghostly encounters at Glensheen Mansion, where the spirits of the past refuse to rest in peace.
