Tu Lam is the epitome of many things. He's a loyal military member, a highly trained martial artist, weapons expert, firearm tactician, teacher, and finally a soft-spoken and caring individual who literally changes lives every day.
In this episode of Gut Check Uncut, you'll get to know the real Tu Lam. And most notably, the struggle he went through and the daily practices and beliefs that has made him the man he is today.
Tu Lam retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service. Over the course of his career he deployed to over 20 countries, including warzones and running counter-terrorism operations in the Philippines, Iraq and Libya.
He's inspired by the character "Ronin" from the video game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare". The creator of the game, Infinity Ward, reached out to him because of his expertise in martial arts so that they could capture his hand-to-hand weapons combat movements.
Don't skip ONE SECOND of this episode because when he speaks; you listen.
