In this episode, I interview Dr. Melanie Okoro, co-founder of Eco-Alpha Environmental and Engineering Services. Prior to co-founding Eco-Alpha Environmental and Engineering Services, Dr. Melanie Okoro worked for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a scientific agency within the United States Department of Commerce that focuses on the conditions of the oceans, major waterways, and the atmosphere. By all accounts, Dr. Okoro had a stellar career at NOAA.. In addition to her many awards, she was named employee of the year by her employer. Despite this success, Dr. Okoro decided to leave NOAA and launch Eco-Alpha Environmental and Engineering Services. In our interview, we discuss how she planned her exit and the barriers she had to overcome to build her brand and business. If you are considering launching a business, you need to listen to this episode.
