The #agile purists sometimes forget that the organizations that dominate markets and win customer hearts and minds have been around for decades. Whilst they are deeply committed to traditional #management and #projectmanagement practices, slowly, they are beginning to embrace the opportunities offered by #agile #productdevelopment. That transition can take time, and whilst #agile is a great answer to 21st century problems, it isn't the answer to everything and many organizations need to have a dual focus on great execution as well as innovation. So, when you're dealing with a traditional #management and #leadership team, how do you get them to understand and embrace the opportunity of #agile whilst honouring and appreciating that they come from a traditional school of thought and deeply value command and control? In this short video, John McFadyen explains what he wishes leadership teams knew about building #scrum and #agile teams.
