Devotional Thought: We withdraw not for isolation, but to be filled, gaining strength for better service in the world. The strength found in this stillness—"quietness and trust"—ensures we re-enter the world’s chaos with peace and power, acting from a deep, well-tended spirit.

Scripture:

“In quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.” — Isaiah 30:15 (NIV)

Questions for Reflection:

  1. When you return to your daily routines, how do you plan to protect the peace and clarity you gained during your time of solitude?
  2. What is one specific way you can practice “quietness” while actively engaged in a task or conversation today?
  3. In what practical way can you allow the strength and trust you cultivated in solitude to affect your immediate response to stress or frustration?
