In this episode, we read 2 Kings chapters 23-25, the closing chapters of the book. King Josiah passionately reforms Judah, removing idols and restoring covenant worship, yet judgment still looms because of the nation’s long history of disobedience. After Josiah’s death, Judah spirals into decline under a series of kings, leading to the Babylonian conquest, the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, and the exile of God’s people. These chapters are a sobering reminder of the consequences of turning away from God, but they also point us toward the hope of His future restoration.
