Later, King Jotham rules with integrity and strength, but his son Ahaz plunges Judah into deep idolatry, closing the temple and turning away from God completely. These chapters reveal the contrast between humble obedience and rebellious pride, reminding us that lasting strength and peace come only from walking faithfully with the Lord.
