How do we bridge the digital divide? That's the question we're exploring in this episode with Gerry Hayes and Matt Bauer. Gerry is the president and founder of the Wireless Research Center of North Carolina, a nonprofit organization that works to bridge the technical divide and promote entrepreneurship and job creation, and Matt is the lead of connected communities for the organization and they discuss the challenges and solutions they have encountered while working to bridge the social digital divide and how they have adapted during the pandemic. They also focus on the importance of upskilling and reskilling to connect people with jobs quickly and how Digital Bridge is their main focus of connected communities.
