Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir, is more than a weapon; it is a sacred tool of protection, a blessing upon marriages, and a defender of Midgard. His strength is not reckless force, but purposeful power guided by duty. The people knew Thor as their shield, standing against giants and chaos so that the world might endure.

Indigenous stories also remind us that strength is given not for domination, but for guardianship — of the land, the tribe, the balance of creation. True strength is to protect what is sacred, to uphold what is fragile, and to stand firm when storms come.

As thunder rolls, may Thor’s strength live in us not as violence, but as courage to defend what is holy in our lives. May we carry his hammer in spirit, blessing and protecting the community around us.
