I had the honour of speaking with Salima Sally Kadaoui of SFT Animal Sanctuary in Tangier, Morocco! π²π¦πΆ I'm so grateful she took some time out of her oh-so-very busy day taking care of thousands of animals to share more about her incredibly inspiring story!
As a child, Salima dreamed of ending the suffering of the street animals in Morocco. After years of living abroad, she returned to her home country and began to do exactly that. Since opening its doors in 2013, SFT Animal Sanctuary has neutered, treated, vaccinated, and tagged thousands of dogs and cats (among many other animals as well!).
SFT works to educate the local community and authorities of Tangier about stray animals, and has made considerable progress in turning fear and apathy into love and compassion π«ππ
Salima not only dreams of a day when Tangier is the first rabies-free and stray-free city in all of Africa, but a day when there is harmony among the humans and animals in every part of the world π
