RECOVERING POLITICIANS: HOW ARE THE CONSERVATIVES DOING AFTER THE FLOOR CROSSING? Libby Znaimer is joined by George Smitherman, former Liberal MPP for Toronto Centre, Health Minister and Deputy Premier; Cheri DiNovo, a former NDP MPP; and Lisa Raitt, a former Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. What's going on inside the Conservative Party after the floor crossing of one of their MPs? Meanwhile, we discuss the news that Nova Scotia Supreme Court judges are in support of a poppy ban in courts and why they are taking this position. And, Toronto City Hall is going to raise the Palestinian flag on November 15th for the first time ever. A SPECIAL REMEMBRANCE DAY BROADCAST Libby Znaimer is joined first by Jayne Cascagnette, whose great grandfather fought and died during WW1 and whose great uncle also fought in WW1 and made it home alive. After that, Paul Hale joins the program. Paul is a retired veteran in the Canadian Armed Forces who served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and made several international deployments including to Afghanistan. In 1994, he served as an election observer in South Africa during their first democratic elections. Finally, we present a special conversation (originally aired on The Zoomer) with the Honorary Lieutenant-General Richard Rohmer and Ret. Major Jim Parks who served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Both fought during WW2 and partook in the D-Day invasion.
