A coalition of concerned residents organized a news conference at Nathan Phillips Square in front of Toronto City Hall earlier this week to express their concerns with how the City is dealing with hot button issues like bike lanes, homeless encampments and more. They also faced a counter-protest. Meanwhile, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow has described the City's Winter maintenance program as a "systemic failure" based on its performance last winter season. OTTAWA TARGETS STEEL IMPORTS AMID TRADE TENSIONS WITH THE U.S. Jane Brown is joined by Marty Warren, the Canadian National Director of the United Steelworkers union which represents 225,000 members in Canada. Prime Minister Mark Carney has taken steps to assist Canada's local steel industry amid trade tensions with the U.S. But does the response go far enough? Marty weighs in.
