Answering your equine questions today for our final episode of the season! On today's show we talk about:
- 2 recently rescued donkeys, how to feed Vermont blend to them?
- if you could pick one energy or body work modality, What would it be? I’m an equine masseuse and do accupressure and always looking to expand my knowledge.
- Bulk Herbs again? Also a discussion of possible nerve impingement for the same mare as above who tries to bite when being tacked up and when ridden. We've tried ulcer meds, chiropractor, saddle and pad change, blood work, taking out unnecessary fat supps, and we are in process of kidney& liver support therapy. She hates her girth being touched.
- Shivers
- My horse is a 10-16 yr old appy gelding. He had foundered in the past and now has been on a non inflammatory diet for a year now. He gets free choice grass hay , lives outside. In the summer he lives in a grass padddock with minimal grass & access to grass hay. He eats once a day hay cubes with salt, freshly ground flax, ominety (mad barn) supplement& , spirulina. He has always heen a bit overweight and seems lethargic, very low energy. Gets gets fat on air. what can I do?
