What mysteries lie beneath the waves, and can a journey across the sea bridge the gap between life and death? This month we take a look at two season 4 episodes that proclaim the mystery, intrigue, and uncertainty of the sea. In "The Thirty-Fathom Grave," a U.S. Navy ship discovers mysterious tapping sounds coming from a sunken submarine. Chief Bell becomes increasingly disturbed by the sounds, experiencing visions of his old crew members. It's revealed he was the sole survivor of that submarine's sinking in WWII, and the ghostly tapping represents his guilt-ridden past catching up with him.
"Passage on the Lady Anne" follows a troubled married couple who book passage on an old ocean liner. They discover all other passengers are elderly and oddly content. The couple leaves the ship before realizing it was destined for a supernatural journey between life and death, taking its elderly passengers to their final destination.
