The TV series "Star Trek: Picard" just ended and (SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT) the 10-episode season provided a sense of closure for fans of the original Next Generation cast. I very much enjoyed this final season. After it ended, I reflected on my own reaction, and what that says about closure in our own lives.
In short, we rarely HAVE the kinds of moments of completion and closure that fiction, movies and TV provide us. This is one reason they're so popular. When done well, they give us something we long for in life. They serve as wish fulfillment.
But in this episode, I talk about how we can actually find closure by bringing our full presence to every moment in life. Easier said than done, true. But I make one suggestion on how we can do this.
As always, live long and prosper.
