On Sunday Pastor Nate preached “Hold the Rope!” as we continued our series “Tell Me Why.” Jesus was sent by the Father to bring salvation to humanity. Christ is the light of the world. After His death and resurrection, Jesus commissioned His followers (including us) to share the good news of his salvation with all people. Each of us has the opportunity to share the hope and light of the Gospel. As Pastor Nate challenged us to each engage the Great Commission, he referenced a powerful event involving William Carey, the father of modern missions. Each of us has had someone holding our rope, and now we have the opportunity to hold the rope for others. What a powerful picture of how we each have a different role, but each share the same mission! If you couldn’t join on Sunday, check out the message here.
