In this edition we spoke at length to Brummie lad Andy Lloyd, who made several inroads into various areas of music as a writer, musician and singer.
From his beginnings as a reluctant teen heart throb with a single on Hansa Records, to fronting a popular Birmingham Mod band, which became The Bloomsbury Set, who toured with Duran Duran and had a track produced by Andy Taylor.

Amidst tales of The Rum Runner and Romulous club years and witnessing first hand the studio discipline of Kevin Rowland & DMR,
We find out about Andy's contracted work recording interpretations/covers culminating in 8 albums of what he describes as his 'busking years'. Eventually fulfilling his desire to blend reggae & pop with the Popman & The Raging Bull project, gaining a release on the respected Greensleeves label.
This is Andy's first interview in 30 years. We are very humbled that it was with us. His five 80s choices are great too - DA
