There has been a lot of talk about self-driving cars changing the way we travel, but how close are we to seeing vehicles drive themselves en masse? On this episode of Driving Forward, Andrew speaks with Hilary Cain, the Senior Vice President of policy at the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, about the technological and infrastructure advances needed to make self-driving cars a reality. Hilary tells Andrew about the different “levels” of vehicle automation, and what that means for a future with self-driving vehicles. Andrew also shares why almost two dozen state attorneys general have filed a legal challenge to the Federal Highway Administration's Greenhouse Gas Performance Measurement Rule.
