CD 1749 A False Reality because of a False Narrative

*Ecclesiastes 3:11(KJV) “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…”

*Jeremiah 29:11(KJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

This means that God has a perfect timetable for everything in creation — including the events of our lives.

Things may seem chaotic, painful, or pointless in the moment, but in God’s larger plan, they have a place, a purpose, and a beauty.

Just like a tapestry looks messy from the back but beautiful from the front, God is weaving something beautiful even when we don’t see the pattern yet.

“…also he hath set the world in their heart…”

The Hebrew word here translated “world” is ‘olam’ (עוֹלָם) — which can mean eternity or the timeless.

This tells us that God has placed in the human heart a longing for something beyond time — for eternity, meaning, and the divine.

What is a “false narrative”?

A false narrative is simply a story we believe about ourselves, others, or life that isn’t true — but we repeat it so often in our thoughts that it starts to feel like truth.

It’s not just a single false idea (like “I’m not good enough”), but rather a whole storyline built around that lie, such as:

“I always fail, so I shouldn’t even try.”

“God blesses other people but not me.”

“My past defines my worth.”

That storyline shapes how we interpret everything — and like a script, we start to live according to the story rather than reality.
