In today's episode we are joined by crime historian & Jack The Ripper expert Lindsay Siviter as we discuss one of Britain's oldest mysteries, the murder of Sandra Rivett & consequent disappearance of her likely killer Lord Lucan.
This infamous & shocking case has long been a mystery to many conspiracy theorists & true crime consumers alike, as the question of where Lord Lucan disappeared to on that fateful night in Belgravia, London in 1974 still remains a mystery to this day .
Some believed after killing his children's nanny Sandra Rivett when he mistook her for his wife Veronica, Lucan fled the country with the help of his rich, wealthy friends & contacts to ensure a successful escape .
Some believe he threw himself into the sea from a ferry ending his own life on the same night he became a killer. Plus there are many more theories that have been suggested or explored as to what became of the troubled Lord. However despite many investigations, leads & dead ends there are still so many questions surrounding Sandra's tragic murder & Lucan's disappearance .
Lindsay who has appeared on many documentaries talking about historical crimes, including Unsolved Mysteries shares with us her fascinating insight on the case of Sandra's murder. As well as giving us a glimpse into what the intended victim Lady Lucan herself was like as a person, thanks to the friendship she formed with her in her later years before she took her own life in 2017.
