Welcome to Episode Seventeen of Do You Dare?

Join us this week as Em dives headfirst into all of the mystery, Dark History and Tragic tales and spooky stories that give Lake Lanier its insidious reputation, and may leave you forever questioning just what lays beneath the waters you swim in....

(Trigger Warning's for mentions of Racism, Racial Cleansing, Mob Violence and Lynching)

Don't forget your life jacket because this week we are exploring one of America's deadliest lakes that in less than 100 years of its creation has seen over 700 lives lost at its waters. But the thing about Lake Lanier is its tragic history starts way before that. With mob justice, racial cleansing, stolen land and a town that now lies beneath its murky waters - including graves - it's no wonder that to this day the lake is said to be haunted and cursed.

So are all of these deaths tragic accidents? Are their ghosts lurking below waiting to pull you to a watery demise? Is it the curse that continues to stain these waters red? or is it something else entirely?

Join us this week as we take a look beneath the surface and uncover some of these stories that have remained sunken.

If you'd like to help out the family of Ramon Diaz-Soria with a donation to help with his funeral expenses, you can find his go fund me set up by his sister Abigail at: Ramon's Go Fund Me

Thanks to everyone who has joined us for this week's controversial case and we hope to see you back next Tuesday as Cian talks us through a relatively recent case where the two young victims helped solve their own tragic murders thanks to quick thinking and snapchat.
