It's 50 years since Man About The House first burst on our screens. The Thames TV gem which went on to spawn George and Mildred and Robin's Nest was created by the writing duo Cooke and Mortimer. And here one half of that writing partnership Brian Cooke talks to Ashley about his long career which started out in cartoons. They chat about the origins of some of those sitcoms and why the partnership between Cooke and Mortimer endured for so many years. Brian also wrote Keep it in the Family among many others and he chats about that too as well as working with Leonard Rossiter in his latter years. Lots of great anecdotes in a wide ranging interview recorded a few years ago now but for various reasons only just now being released on Distinct Nostalgia. Enjoy!
