  • Jim Hull, DBIA - Turner Construction Project Executive
  • Tammy Jow, DBIA – AC Martin Project Designer

Meet DBIA’s 2022 National Design-Build Project of the Year. DBIA’s panel of jurors agreed that this project stood out among a large field of impressive design-build projects. Being named a DBIA national award winner is challenging. Being named the best of the best in an increasingly innovative industry is spectacular.

In this episode, we talk to three of the project leaders tasked with building a new home for California’s Natural Resources Agency. This was not only a massive project, but the team also faced numerous challenges, including the pandemic, deadly wildfires and civil unrest nearby. Despite it all, their one-team-one goal approach delivered beauty, community, resiliency, and so much more. There are so many real-world lessons to be learned from DBIA award-winning teams and this group has an incredible story to tell.
