Administrative and clinical processes between payers and providers continues to require significant resources, complex workflows, and increase in frustration for both parties - as well as patients.
Founded over a decade ago, Xsolis was designed to address these challenges and continues to build momentum with a very unique AI-driven platform ("Dragonfly") that uniquely breaks down the barriers, reduces silos, and creates superior satisfaction for all parties.
During this conversation, captured at the Chase Studio in Nashville, I was fortunate to hear from the Xsolis CEO and CTO - Joan Butters and Zach Evans.
We discussed the origin story, orginal value proposition, use of platform technology, migration to the cloud, a "re-platform" underway, and increasing elements of value that both payers and providers can realize - all setting the table for superior patient benefits.
Joan Butters is a co-founder and the CEO of Xsolis, the AI-driven health technology company with a human-centered approach. Joan co-founded Xsolis in 2013 to help shape intelligent decision-making for payers and providers. Under Joan’s leadership, Xsolis has served some of the largest and most reputable healthcare organizations, including Humana, Mayo Clinic, AdventHealth, Banner Health and Ardent Health. She has been featured in Becker's Health Review, Inc. Magazine, AiThority, and Health IT Analytics, among other national publications.

Prior to founding Xsolis, Joan served as Vice President/General Manager of Strategy and Emerging Solutions at Optum, where she identified and developed new technology solutions which generated over $225M annually and provided services across the healthcare ecosystem.

Zach Evans is the Chief Technology Officer with Xsolis, the AI-driven health technology company with a human-centered approach, where he is responsible for using Xsolis’ proprietary real-time predictive analytics and technology to support client objectives and internal business operations.

Zach previously held leadership roles at HCA Healthcare, Inc., the largest for-profit operator of hospitals in the United States. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President, Technology of Case Management and Performance Improvement, where he was responsible for using technology to achieve operational excellence, improve clinical workflows and augment quality outcomes. Prior to HCA, Zach served as Vice President of Strategic Development and Chief Information Officer at CareHere.
