How One Woman's Fight Exposed Pickton's Reign of Terror
In March 1997, a desperate woman named Ms. Anderson got into a red pickup truck, hoping to make enough money to escape her abusive pimp. Instead, she was lured to Robert Pickton's farm and became the first woman to survive his attack.
Stabbed, handcuffed, and left to die, she fought back with unimaginable courage, escaping into the night. Her testimony was credible, the evidence was damning, and yet the system let him go. This is her story—the one that could have stopped a serial killer.

A handcuff key on Pickton that matched the cuff on her wrist.
A stranger's bra in his truck.
A blood-soaked trailer.
Unused condoms.
Timeline of a Nightmare:
March 22, 1997, ~11:00 PM: Ms. Anderson accepts Pickton's offer.
~11:30 PM: They arrive at his farm trailer.
~Midnight: Pickton handcuffs her; a violent struggle ensues.
~12-2:00 AM (March 23): She slashes his throat; he stabs her in the abdomen. She escapes and gets help from a nearby couple.
~2:00 AM: Rushed to hospital; she flatlines twice on the operating table.
~3:17 AM: Pickton arrives at the same hospital for his wounds.
March 23: RCMP search the farm and seize evidence.
March 27: Ms. Anderson gives her official statement, fearing there are other victims.
Later 1997: Charges against Pickton are stayed. He is released.
This flagship episode exposes the systemic failures and indifference that allowed a massacre to happen. Her fight was just the beginning.
