In this episode of Dan's Cadre of Experts, we sit down with Richard Holdren, a legendary figure in welding and metallurgy, consultant, entrepreneur, and the longest-serving member on the critical API 1104 Pipeline Code committee.

We dive deep into the world of industrial codes and standards, exploring the revolutionary work being done in additive manufacturing at national labs like Oak Ridge, the demanding metallurgy of advanced materials like Duplex Stainless Steel, and the challenges of adapting decades-old rules to cover cutting-edge technology like laser welding.
