Young and the Restless spoilers give a surprising twist and unveils Roger Howarth as Matt Clark, a villain presumed dead for over two decades, causing a stir among characters Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). The character, formerly known as Mitch Bacall, Sienna Bacall's (Tamara Braun) husband, has been living undercover in Los Angeles, with his criminal history in Genoa City unbeknownst to his longtime friend, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). Shock waves were sent through the audience when Sharon encounters Matt, who insists he is Mitch, leaving her confused and gaslit.

Y&R spoilers indicate the character of Matt Clark, originally played by Eddie Cibrian in 1994, is known for his tumultuous history with Sharon and Nick. Matt's criminal past includes rape, physical violence, and deceit, all of which have deeply affected Sharon and Nick's relationship over the years. He was last seen in Genoa City in 2001, where he almost raped Sharon again and tried to frame Nick for his murder.

Young and Restless spoilers hint a recent interview with Roger Howarth revealed that Matt has been living under the alias Mitch for so long, he believes it to be true, and will do anything to keep his nefarious past under wraps. As the plot unfolds, viewers are left wondering if Noah Newman's accident might have been caused by Matt, and whether Sienna Bacall will discover her husband's true identity.
