When God feels distant, don’t assume He’s gone. In this episode, discover how to walk by faith when your emotions fade, and why His presence is closer than you think.

Have you ever prayed and felt like your words just disappeared into the ceiling?

You’re not the only one. Even faithful believers, people like David, Elijah, and the missionary David Brainerd, faced long seasons when God seemed silent.

In today’s devotion, you’ll hear the story of David Brainerd, a young missionary who battled sickness, loneliness, and spiritual dryness yet refused to stop seeking God. His journal shows that faith isn’t built on feelings; it’s forged in the quiet trust that God is still at work, even when we can’t feel Him.

Main Scriptures:

Deuteronomy 31:8 – “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Psalm 73:28 – “But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.”

By the end of this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why God’s presence doesn’t depend on your emotions
  • How to stay faithful when your spiritual life feels dry
  • One simple way to reconnect with God in the silence

Today’s Challenge:

Take five quiet minutes today and tell God exactly how you feel, honestly and without filter. Then thank Him for being near, even when you can’t sense Him. Write down Deuteronomy 31:8 somewhere you’ll see it often as a reminder that He’s never left you.
