Today's reading will cover Matthew Chapter 8:19-34, Mark Chapter 4:35-41 and Chapter 5:1-20, and Luke Chapters 8:22-25 and 9:57-62.

Today we will read about people claiming to want to follow Jesus but they had other things they wanted to do first. Then we will read about a man who was set free from many bad spirits and wanted to follow Jesus, but Jesus directed him to stay local and be a witness to the people he knew about God's kindness and tell people what God had done for him.

In our discussion for daily application we will talk about the right time to follow and obey Jesus. The time is NOW. God is doing amazing things in EVERYONE's life and every time someone says, "Hello, how are you today?" that is in an invitation to share with them what God has done in our life recently. We can conclude these conversations with people by telling them, "And God can do things like this in YOUR life, too!" EVERYONE is called to be a witness for God. Let's make sure we are telling people about what God has done for us and spread the Word about His love and kindness, assuring people that God can and will love and be kind to whoever we are talking to, too!
