The object manifests without prior record of purchase or placement and may be identified by a shifting emblem, typically in the form of a clock-face or hourglass motif.

The safe-box exhibits properties inconsistent with inert objects, including autonomous relocation through time and progressive increases in strength and cognition. Individuals who encounter the object will recall a twelve-digit access code despite no prior interaction. The box’s interior appears empty but functions as a hostile environment; subjects drawn inside undergo catastrophic physical trauma followed by a twelve-hour process of atomic disintegration.

Citizens are instructed not to open the object under any circumstance. Interaction or attempts at containment may accelerate hostile activity. Continuous observation is required; the anomaly cannot move while being watched. In the event the observer must disengage, responsibility must be transferred without interruption.
