On this episode, we take a look at the internet phenomenon known as Liminal Spaces and its effect on the human psyche. Creating both a sense of nostalgia and unease, it quickly gained popularity during the 2020-2021 pandemic with the "Backrooms" photo/meme posted to 4Chan. The aesthetics feature eerie, deserted locations that can feel like they exist outside of normal reality, even spilling over into vaporwave and the analog horror genre.
