This episode of the Consumer Behavior Conversations brings you through the effects of culture, social media, color theory, and so much more. We had the honor of talking with Leah Ecklund, a young professional in the Fargo-Moorhead area working as a graphic designer, freelancer, and local beer pourer. She was gracious enough to speak about her work and how graphic design affects consumer behavior from a fast food restaurant’s colors to being culturally aware of how a design will resonate with every single person.

One of our goals when we started this project was to see how culture affects consumer behavior. In this podcast, you’ll have the opportunity to hear Leah’s thoughts on how consumers behave as well as how her experiences in our local area have influenced her own consumer behavior.

Leah is a highly motivated individual that burns the candle at both ends, but also finds balance between her work and social life. Because of this, our conversation flowed from both perspectives of consumer behavior. We learn how Leah communicates with her freelance customers as well as how social media has affected her own behavior through sponsored ads. Leah has also seen the side of being an Instagram influencer through her bookstagram (Instagram book page) where she has become a representative for book-related products.

Tune in to this episode to learn what it is like to be a modern-day artist working and succeeding in the Fargo-Moorhead area. This conversation will open your eyes to the other side of advertising design and allow you to see the perspective of the producer rather than consumer. Leah is a great source of knowledge, and we are so excited to be able to share this with you. And above all, SUPPORT LOCAL ART:)
