Welcome to Episode 8 of the 180DC Podcast! In honour of LGBT History month in Australia, we decided to dedicate the month of October to putting together this episode. This week, we spoke with Alex Cheng , a current Associate at L.E.K Consulting and co-founder of internal initiatives [email protected] and [email protected].

In this episode, Alex touches on his journey into consulting, his passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and how his passions have led to him championing different workplace initiatives as well as start his own with friends outside of work. In theme with the month and episode discussion, we placed emphasis on chatting about what it means to be an ally and how one may be an effective ally. Be sure to tune in as Alex has some stellar advice on these topics and we also include how you may potentially get involved with the LGBTQ+ space in the future.

This week is special in that we don’t have the usual final reeling question. Instead, Alex shares Careers in Colour with us; an initiative he has been working on with colleagues behind the scenes to promote a community of people of colour to thrive within their careers.
