Matthew is an integral ecologist and facilitator passionate about meaningful nature experience and rewilding our relationship with earth. He has a transdisciplinary PhD in conservation ecology and transformative sustainability and has published widely on the theory and practice of nature connectedness. Matthew has led college study abroad programs for over 10 years across the southern hemisphere. He currently serves as a founding director with the Organisation for Noetic Ecology, field lecturer for Wildlands Studies and a research associate with the Sea Change Project. Part of Matthew’s ongoing work explores how focused intention and quality attention shapes our nature experiences and, ultimately, our neurophysiology in support of connection and wellbeing.
