Do you feel lonely when you're alone? Or maybe you feel lonely lying next to your partner or in your relationship.

That lonely feeling is something I’ve experienced for much of my life, but couldn’t put it into words to it until I started healing the different parts of me that were driving those emotions.

In addition, the fear of feeling more alone kept me in my marriage for far too long. When I began building a better relationship with myself, I no longer felt as alone. One of the first steps was understanding the difference between being alone and feeling lonely.

In today's solo episode, I share my journey from fearing solitude to finding joy and peace in my own company. I also break down the misconceptions about being alone, explore the impact of societal pressures, and offer practical tips so you can begin to enjoy solitude without feeling isolated or alone.

You’ll learn:

  • How do I differentiate between spending time alone and feeling lonely?
  • Practical tips to build a better relationship with yourself.
  • How to feel less alone while dating.
  • Ways to develop more capacity to be with your feelings of loneliness.
  • How micro-moments of connection helped me through some of my darkest times.
  • Somatic practices to develop a better relationship with your emotions and feelings when they arise.
  • Ways to find fulfillment and contentment in your alone time.
  • The impact of social media and societal norms on our perceptions of being alone.

Whether you're struggling with loneliness or just looking to enrich your personal time, today's conversation offers valuable guidance. So tune in so you can begin to change how you view and spend your alone time so you can start living a more joyful, purpose-driven life.

Much love,

Laurie
