In today’s Expert Series episode, we meet with Col (Ret’d) Terry Chester, LGen (Ret’d) Andre Deschamps, MGen (Ret’d) Colin Keiver, and Richard Shimooka to discuss the pressing recruitment and retention challenges facing the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

Highlighting a personnel shortfall unable to meet modern demands, the panel emphasizes the need for agile recruitment strategies, improved equipment acquisition, better infrastructure, and notes the current state of the military amidst these challenges. The panel also discusses the impact of geopolitical instability on defence procurement and the importance of maintaining readiness amidst budget constraints and election cycles.

Special thanks is given to the Royal Canadian Air Force Association, a CDA Member Association, for their role in fostering public awareness of Canada's aerospace industries and their dedication to an equipped and operationally ready Air Force for Canada. https://www.rcafassociation.ca/
