Wall Street edged higher on Friday as a CME outage disrupted global trading for several hours. The S&P 500 notched its biggest weekly advance since May while the Nasdaq broke its seven-month winning streak in November. Meanwhile, US government bond yields also lifted on expectations of heavy corporate debt issuance. In commodities, OPEC stuck with plans to halt production increases in the March quarter of 2026, and gold surged more than 5% over the month. Back home, Australia is set for a steady start to trade after its worst November since 2014, while home prices hit fresh record highs.
