Clare's Chief Fire Officer is urging people to "rethink how they go about their business" as the season of weather warnings begins. The county is under a severe status orange warning today from 2pm to 10pm while a status red marine warning off the cost expires at 8pm. Met Éireann is predicting fallen trees, damage to power lines and possible power outages as well as difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping. Adrian Kelly has been telling Clare FM's Seán Lyons caution should be taken with regard to journeys in conditions such as these.
