They also share insights into the 30+ year collaboration between the two companies, including a recent metro network trial that marked a major technology milestone – achieving speeds of 1.6 Tb/s of data on a single-carrier wavelength using Ciena's WaveLogic 6 Extreme coherent optical solution.
