Episode 14: Advent Day 14 - Instruments of PeaceScripture: Romans 12:18 (NIV)
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."
Welcome back! Let's reflect on Romans 12:18: "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." It's a bit like being the healer in a role-playing game—you might not control the whole battle, but your role is crucial to the team's well-being.
We can't control how others act, but we can control our responses. Paul encourages us to do everything within our power to promote peace.
This might mean apologizing first, choosing not to retaliate, or extending kindness to someone who's been unkind. It's not always easy, but it's our calling as followers of Christ.
Prayer:
Lord, empower us to live at peace with those around us. Give us the strength to take the first step toward reconciliation. Help us to be peacemakers in a world that often chooses conflict. May our actions draw others closer to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Thank you for journeying through Week 2 of our Advent series focusing on Peace. May these reflections inspire you to embrace the peace that Jesus offers and to share it with those around you.
