Our culture at large glorifies sex. They can't stop talking about it.
The church at large, however, has presented a completely different narrative for centuries--"don't have sex, and then we don't have to talk about it at all." Another name for this is purity culture, and it's just one of the seeds spurring the rampant sexual addiction in our world.
