"Blessing From the Christmas Tree" (Gal. 3:13-14) The Curse (v.13) Ro. 5:12-13a 12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men[a] because all sinned— 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given Gen. 3:16-17 16 To the woman he said, "I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you." 17 And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, 'You shall not eat of it,'cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; Deut. 28:1-2 "And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Ro. 2:15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them. Our conscience confirms the moral law that God has written on the heart of every single person. The Blessing (v.14) 1 Pet. 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
