小宝: Brother, today someone was releasing fish by the river in the park and said it was a good deed. Is that really okay?
小刚: Sometimes releasing animals isn't right, especially if they're non-native fish. For example, the news said someone released more than 20,000 jin of non-native catfish into a lake. Many fish died, and the water got dirty.
小宝: Huh? Why would releasing fish make the water dirty?
小刚: Because these non-native fish aren't suited to the local water, some will die, and they might eat the local small fish, reducing the number of small animals in the lake.
小宝: Will they get punished for that?
小刚: Yes. The news said they have to spend a lot of money to fix the lake's environment. If we see people releasing animals, we should tell adults—it's not okay to randomly release non-native animals.
