In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Nicolas Lamp of the Faculty of Law to discuss breaking news from the United States concerning announcements from the incoming Donald Trump administration that the new President intends to impose 25% tariffs on goods from both Canada and Mexico heading into the US. To learn more about the issues and potential impacts of this proposed policy for Canadians and Canadian industry, we caught up with Lamp, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law cross appointed with the School of Policy Studies, and also serves as the Director of the Annual Queen’s Institute on Trade Policy, a professional training course for Canadian trade officials that is hosted by the Queen’s School of Policy Studies.
