My ADHD Diagnosis Poem: From Shame to Strength

Eight years ago, I received my ADHD diagnosis and started a journey through shame, confusion, and ultimately, acceptance and hope. In this deeply personal episode, I share my original poem “Sailing, Not Climbing”—written at a low point when I realized I wasn’t broken… just different.

In this episode:

  • My honest ADHD diagnosis story and mental health journey as a Christian woman
  • The full “Sailing, Not Climbing” poem (straight from my heart)
  • How faith transformed my ADHD from a label of shame to a space of strength
  • Why we’re not meant to “climb” like everyone else—we’re meant to “sail” in our own way
  • Encouragement from 2 Corinthians 12:9 on God’s power in our weakness

This is for you if:
You’re a Christian woman with ADHD, a mom navigating mental health, or anyone who needs to know you’re not alone and not a mistake.

Scripture Anchor:
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. — 2 Corinthians 12:9
