As the wickedness of the world and the churches increases, we know we draw nearer to the return of Jesus. If you work at a secular job, you will be exposed to many concepts contrary to Bible. This world loves to be wise in it's own eyes. You have to uproot those spots that come from worldly sayings of men and bring spiritual contamination. We also encounter such on our television programs. We must be alert and cleanse ourselves from these spots of this world. The apostle Peter told us to do the following as we wait for Jesus. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless. II Peter 3:14 If we do this, we should be ready for Jesus when HE returns. == Luke 10:38-42 Now it came to pass, as they went, that HE (Jesus) entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received HIM into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard HIS word. 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to HIM, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus says: Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. I Timothy 4:7-8 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
