Dale Hahs is President and CEO of AIS Industrial Construction Supply and third-generation leader of an 80-year-old family business. From humble roots supplying airplane hardware to Stapleton Airport, AIS has evolved into a go-to supplier for contractors across Colorado. Under Dale’s leadership, the company has embraced innovation while staying rooted in legacy, sustainability, and faith. With 40 years at the helm, Dale is still hitting his stride, mentoring the next generation (including his own son) and leading with resilience, wisdom, and heart.
Dale shares how business has become his ministry, rooted in his upbringing and guided by prayer, especially through personal trials such as his daughter’s addiction and his wife’s cancer. Dale emphasizes mentoring the next generation, sustaining rather than founding, and keeping AIS relevant through customer-driven innovation, adaptability, and embracing new technologies like AI. He reflects on what it means to leave a legacy, aspiring to be remembered as a caring leader, husband, father, friend, and man of faith. Dale’s inspirational story highlights perseverance, the importance of community and mentorship, and leading with humility, curiosity, and conviction.
