Leah Mathiowetz was nominated as a Beck's Player with Heart for her dedication and commitment on and off the court and track. In school, Leah currently plays volleyball and participates in track and field, choir, and the National Honor Society. She loves being part of a team and working hard at her passion. Leah enjoys playing with her friends and being able to help younger athletes through these high school sports and activities. Leah volunteers at her church, where she teaches religion classes, and helps during volleyball camps for younger students at her school. She also helped at an assisted living facility, where she was later hired as a resident assistant. To Leah, agriculture is planting, growing, and harvesting crops. She knows the agriculture industry is a major contributor to the food supply, as her family helps by farming corn and soybeans. Whether by putting food on people's tables or through feeding livestock, Leah understands the importance of agriculture to people everywhere. After graduation, Samantha will be attending South Dakota State University to major in nursing.
