Today’s conversation with friend and collaborator Nick Scandalios is incredibly informative. As a theatre owner and producer, Nick’s expansive understanding of what it takes to put on a show on Broadway and beyond is so valuable. He and Hal talk the history of the Nederlander Organization, Nick’s approach to touring, and what makes the theatre industry so unique.

Nick is the Executive Vice President of the Nederlander Organization, one of the largest owners of legitimate theatres in the world, as well as one of the largest theatrical producing organizations in North America. He is the recipient of the 2018 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award. He is also a past Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Broadway League, and past chair of the Board of Family Equality. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Nederlander owns or operates theatres in New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; San Diego, CA; San Jose, CA; Tucson, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Durham, NC; Oklahoma City, OK; Greensboro, NC and London, England.
