All Christians struggle to walk that fine line between being bold, but staying humble — but for Christian women, the struggle is perhaps even more difficult. Why? Women are often told and taught that it's their biblical role to walk in quiet obedience to their husbands, to their church leaders, to those they are serving — yet this is not how Jesus saw women. And it's a shame when women who have talents and gifts galore are shamed into silence based on faulty Bible teachings. Maybe that's why young women are leaving the church nowadays. Misty Phillip has a new book, “Spark Your Influence,” that teaches women specifically how to be submissive yet bold — just as Jesus was.
